Three points in the Michigan irrigation season deserve special attention
A sprinkler system can appear fine at the controller while a valve leaks, a head is damaged, a zone has weak pressure, or a pump is losing prime. Spring activation is the first opportunity to observe every available zone after winter. A mid-season review can catch coverage and performance changes while the landscape is actively growing. Winterization removes water from irrigation components before freezing temperatures can split pipe, fittings, valves, backflows or exposed pump equipment.
A maintenance plan does not guarantee that an older system will never need repairs. It creates a predictable seasonal service schedule and helps identify problems before they become larger water-loss, landscape or freeze-damage issues.
