We work on older sprinkler systems in Sterling Heights, Roseville, St. Clair Shores, Warren, Madison Heights, and Royal Oak; larger subdivision systems in Macomb, Shelby Township, Chesterfield, New Baltimore, and Romeo; waterfront and pump-fed systems near Harrison Township and St. Clair Shores; and landscaped properties in Troy, Rochester Hills, Bloomfield Hills, West Bloomfield, and nearby Oakland County communities. In Grosse Pointe, we also encounter older city-water irrigation systems, including original installations built with smaller copper piping that can be difficult to service and may contribute to flow and pressure limitations.

Warren: Buried Irritrol Valve Diagnosis
A weak zone with two barely operating rotors was traced to valves buried beneath a gazebo and pavers. Debris inside the Irritrol valve was found and a complete top swap restored full pressure and proper shutoff.
Rochester Hills: Hunter Hydrawise Upgrade
An older Imperial rotary mechanical timer was replaced with a Hunter HPC Hydrawise WiFi controller. Existing station wiring and zone operation were checked so the new smart controller matched the field system.
Bloomfield Hills: Pipe Repair & Lawn Restoration
Plumbing excavation damaged a 1-inch poly irrigation line and rotor. Hunter HydroTech repaired the irrigation, added about 40 cubic feet of topsoil, regraded away from the house, seeded, and retested the zone.
Grosse Pointe: Copper-System Revamp & New Backflow
An older Grosse Pointe irrigation system built throughout with 1/2-inch copper had low-pressure limitations and was difficult to service. Hunter HydroTech added dedicated irrigation backflow protection and replaced the aging infrastructure with a complete new sprinkler system.

Service Area Questions
These are common questions from customers looking for sprinkler service in Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, Wayne, and Southeast Michigan.
What areas does Hunter HydroTech serve?
Hunter HydroTech primarily serves Macomb County and Oakland County, with select service in St. Clair County, Wayne County, and nearby Southeast Michigan communities depending on route availability, season, job size, and service type.
Do you provide sprinkler repair in Sterling Heights, Warren, Macomb, Shelby Township, Troy, and Rochester Hills?
Yes. Hunter HydroTech provides sprinkler repair and irrigation troubleshooting throughout these core Macomb and Oakland County markets, including heads, leaks, valves, wiring, low pressure, controllers, backflows, seasonal service, and system improvements.
Do you service both city-water and pump-fed irrigation systems?
Yes. City-water systems often involve backflows, shutoffs, valves, wiring, controllers, pressure, and municipal water supply. Pump-fed systems add the intake, suction line, filters, foot or check valves, priming, pump-start relay, pump, and discharge side to the diagnosis.
Which areas are especially relevant for irrigation pump repair?
Pump-fed irrigation is especially relevant in waterfront, lake-area, and larger-property markets such as St. Clair Shores, Harrison Township, New Baltimore, Shelby Township, Bloomfield Hills, Waterford, Marine City, and surrounding communities. Individual properties can still use a different water source, so we confirm the actual system before diagnosis.
Do you provide backflow and RPZ service throughout Southeast Michigan?
Yes. Hunter HydroTech provides irrigation backflow replacement and related service in city-water markets including Sterling Heights, Troy, Rochester Hills, Grosse Pointe, Shelby Township, Warren, Macomb Township, and other communities where irrigation backflow protection is installed.
Do you install Hunter Hydrawise smart sprinkler controllers?
Yes. Hunter HydroTech installs and services Hunter Hydrawise-based WiFi controllers, including Hunter HPC systems. Smart-controller service includes station-count planning, wiring review, zone setup, and programming based on the actual irrigation system.
Do you provide spring sprinkler start-ups and turn-ons?
Yes. Spring start-up service includes controlled water activation, zone-by-zone inspection, head adjustments, visible leak checks, controller programming, and diagnosis of valve, wiring, pressure, backflow, or pump problems found when the system is restored.
Do you provide sprinkler winterization and blowouts?
Yes. Hunter HydroTech winterizes irrigation systems throughout the service area. The process is adjusted for city-water versus pump-fed systems and considers lines, valves, heads, backflows, exposed plumbing, and pump equipment where applicable.
Do you handle residential and commercial irrigation?
Yes. We service residential and commercial irrigation systems, including repairs, seasonal service, pumps, backflows, valves, smart controllers, system revamps, troubleshooting, and new irrigation work.
What if my city is not listed on the service areas page?
Contact Hunter HydroTech directly. Some nearby communities can be serviced depending on schedule, route availability, job size, water source, and the type of irrigation work required.
