A condo or association irrigation system in Troy can be a completely different service environment from a six- or eight-zone residential sprinkler system. 1.5-inch valves require a different repair approach from small residential manifolds

Hunter HydroTech has replaced 1.5-inch Rain Bird valves on larger Troy irrigation systems. Those assemblies handle more flow and may be installed on PVC or larger poly piping, so service access, fitting condition, valve orientation, wiring, and downstream demand all matter during repair.

Large-property valve work may also involve identifying older splices, verifying common wiring, tracing stations through multiple boxes, and checking whether the controller is actually sending the expected signal.

Commercial-grade rotors and larger swing assemblies

Some larger Troy systems use Hunter I-20 rotors or other commercial-grade rotor heads. Hunter HydroTech has also worked with larger lateral connections, including 1.25-inch piping feeding rotor swing assemblies before reducing at the head connection.

The head at the surface is only the final component. If a commercial rotor has weak throw, the diagnosis may include the nozzle, swing assembly, lateral piping, valve, mainline, backflow, and overall zone demand.

Wire tracking can be one of the most important tools on a large property

When a site has several controllers and many zones, visual inspection alone may not reveal which valve belongs to which station. Hunter HydroTech has wire-tracked Troy irrigation systems, repaired field-wire splices, and traced electrical faults before replacing valves or rebuilding affected sections.

That process is especially useful when years of repairs have created mixed wire colors, undocumented splices, buried valve boxes, or controller changes.

PVC and poly mainline repairs

Hunter HydroTech has repaired both PVC and polyethylene mainline problems on larger Troy properties. The repair method depends on the actual pipe, fitting, size, location, pressure, and available service space.

Restoring systems that have not operated for years
