Hunter HydroTech primarily installs Hunter PGV valves for residential irrigation systems. Our preferred residential configuration is a 1-inch globe-body, non-flow-control, bolted valve with a 1-inch male-threaded inlet and 1-inch poly-barb outlet.
Preferred residential valve
The Hunter PGV is our main choice for valve replacement, manifold rebuilding, and new residential service work.
When we service other brands
If an existing reputable valve such as a Rain Bird DV-100 or an Irritrol valve has a failed solenoid or internal diaphragm issue, Hunter HydroTech may complete a top swap or gut swap rather than replacing the entire valve body.
Valve sizes stocked
- 1-inch residential valves
- 1.5-inch valves for larger commercial or pump-fed applications
Flow-control preference
Hunter HydroTech normally uses non-flow-control 1-inch valves on residential systems. Larger 1.5-inch commercial or pump applications commonly use flow-control valves.
